St. Mary's School is a peanut free school. This can only be achieved with the help of all the students at the school and their parents. This decision is based on the knowledge that a few students are allergic to peanuts and may endure a severe effect that can result from contact with nuts. These reactions can easily be prevented if students and parents are aware of the reasons for becoming a PEANUT FREE SCHOOL and how they can help avoid allergic reactions from occurring in these students.

Our History
St. Mary’s School is a
Pre-Kindergarten to Grade eight school.

The school was originally built in 1965 and received a massive building project in 2001 that doubled the area of the school, added a modern gymnasium, and a beautifully designed stage area for our Band and Arts Education programs.
With over fifty years of serving the students, families and community of Estevan and surrounding area, St. Mary’s School educators and stakeholders have maintained a vibrant, active, and modern role in educating our youth while maintaining a Christ centered, scripturally based religion program permeated throughout the subject areas.
St. Mary’s students, past and present, have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership when moving to the high school, post secondary education and in the job force. In extracurricular activities, our Monarch athletic teams have given the school a reputation as being some of the most competitive. Our band program has also been very successful over the years with students and groups of students receiving awards and accolades for their talents and abilities.
While “Rooted in Christ” and “Serving in Love”, St. Mary’s is a Student First school. Our school’s mission statement reads: “Striving for Excellence in an atmosphere based on Christian values that celebrates the uniqueness of the whole child.”
We believe that each child is a unique creation of God and that each child should be treated as suchDifferentiated instruction from our talented and creative staff enables each student at our school to be successful with the understanding that each child learns in variety, or in a combination of ways.
