St. Mary’s School is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade eight school. The school was originally built in 1965 and received a massive building project in 2001 that doubled the area of the school and added a modern gymnasium and a beautifully designed stage area for our Band and Arts Education programs. With over fifty years of serving the students, families and communities of Estevan and surrounding area, St. Mary’s School educators and stakeholders have maintained a vibrant, active, and modern role in educating our youth while maintaining a Christ centered, scripturally based religion program permeated throughout the subject areas.
While “Rooted in Christ” and “Serving in Love”, St. Mary’s is a Student First school. Our school’s mission statement reads: “Striving for Excellence in an atmosphere based on Christian values that celebrates the uniqueness of the whole child.” We believe that each child is a unique creation of God and that each child should be treated as such. Differentiated instruction from our talented and creative staff enables each student at our school to be successful with the understanding that each child learns in variety, or in a combination of ways.
Jeremiah 29:11
