Easter Message 2025 - With Hopeful Hearts
As we enter the sacred season of Easter, I offer heartfelt blessings to you and your families. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ stands at the heart of our Catholic faith—a radiant reminder that even in the face of darkness, despair, and death, God’s love prevails. Easter calls us to rejoice in the promise of new life, to walk in the light of hope, and to be renewed in spirit and purpose.
This message of hope is especially meaningful as we continue our journey for the 2025 Papal Jubilee, a special year of grace called by Pope Francis under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.” As pilgrims, we are invited to travel together—strengthened by faith, united in community, and open to the transformative power of God’s mercy. It is a time to rediscover the joy of the Gospel, to deepen our trust in God, and to walk with those in need of healing and peace.
In our own division, we carry this spirit forward through our theme: “Rooted in Christ, Serving in Love.” To be rooted in Christ means to remain grounded in prayer, scripture, and the sacraments—to draw life from the One who is the true vine. To serve in love means to extend ourselves in kindness and compassion, to care for our neighbours, and to reflect the face of Christ in all we do.
In this Easter season, may we be inspired by the words of St. Paul in his letter to the Romans:
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13)
As educators, parents, and students, we are co-pilgrims on a shared path—called to witness to the Resurrection not only in word but in action. Whether through acts of service, words of encouragement, or simple gestures of kindness, we are instruments of hope in our world.
May the joy of Easter renew your hearts, strengthen your families, and guide us all as we continue our journey together—Rooted in Christ, Serving in Love.
With gratitude and Easter blessings,
Ken Sampson, B.Sc.; B. Ed.; M.A.
